Persons residing in the Abkhazia or Tskhinvali regions may apply for divorce registration to any territorial office of the State Services Development Agency or any branch of the Public Service Hall.

The basis for divorce registration is an application submitted by authorized persons or a court decision on divorce.

The Civil Acts Registration Authority is authorized to register a divorce using available identity documents, including so-called identity documents issued in Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali regions, provided that the divorce decision has been issued by a common court of Georgia and/or a court of a foreign country, and that the information/data indicated in the so-called identity document issued in Abkhazia or the Tskhinvali region corresponds to the data stored by the Agency, if such data exists.

In case of discrepancies between the information/data and the records maintained by the Agency, divorce registration is carried out based on the data stored in the Agency’s database.
 

Service period and fee:

The service fee for divorce registration and issuance of a divorce certificate is GEL 60.
